Apparently all schemes announced by Modi are too good to be true - masterstroke.
But the ground reality is different. Here's what the "working solution" could have been - for non-critical, local diseases, invest in tech enabled public healthcare - for e.g. analyse geotagged data and allocate the appropriate resources in each region, AI assisted diagnostics, training para-medical staff to perform complex procedures, etc. etc. And offload the high margin critical cases to the private hospitals. The private hospitals love "margin" and would have happily handled "cervical cancer". They aren't interested in treating "chronic bronchitis".
But for Modi its all about advertisement and not mindful implementation. So now, we are totally dependent on a miracle from Lord Ram. Indeed its a Hindu Rashtra now!
I am unsuprised about the government scheme not working, it was too good to be true
To be fair, there's nothing wrong with the scheme, just that logistics of it can be handle better.
