Just a thought— why not explore how political ideologies and decisions shape financial markets? You could break it down into macro-level policies, micro-political events, and even global geopolitics. A deep-dive analysis in this direction might really resonate with audiences looking to understand the bigger picture behind market movements.

Hmm, this is very subjective Jaya. It's very hard to establish causality with politics and markets.

Let me put this into perspective with a real experience.

Back in 2020–21, there was a strong narrative around resolving bad loans through the ARC-AMC model — I first encountered this through a Finshots piece by Zerodha. That narrative piqued my interest, and I started tracking the space more closely, with the assumption that it would be a positive trigger for Nifty Bank. Acting on that thesis, I entered the market.

But things didn’t play out the way I expected. I ended up taking a loss, which pushed me to dig deeper and reflect: What was I missing?

The missing piece, I realized, was the political power structure that influences how such narratives actually unfold. As the bill was tabled in Parliament, corporates began watching closely, and multiple viewpoints surfaced — some argued that outsourcing bad loans to private entities was risky, while others claimed it would clean up balance sheets and revive credit growth. Eventually, Nifty Bank did move up — but only after 8–9 months. I recovered my capital through long-term investing, but what stood out to me was this: the narrative only turned into market action once the political machinery began to move.

This made me think — imagine if there was a structured way to track financial narratives from a political lens:

Who’s backing or opposing a policy?

What’s the next procedural step?

Why is the timing politically relevant?

Which ideology is driving momentum — the left or the right?

This applies across the board — whether we’re talking about EV adoption, climate change, oil policy, or fintech regulations. These aren't just economic stories; they’re deeply political. The market reacts to visible moves, but the invisible hand often belongs to politics.

That’s why I believe there’s value in exploring this perspective more systematically.

Or the other of thinking about the example you mentioned is just looking at regulations regardless of the politics behind it. But either way, some of this already happens on the shows and newsletters we do. We do track the big and monumental regulatory changes and look at the first and second order impacts.

I am glued to the content. Appreciate the team’s effort. I do watch the videos also mostly read the written content as well.

1) One feedback is that the charts you display must explain what that chart is, source, etc. I feel some are missing .

2) I would be happy to see industry specific content where we track what’s happening within that industry, news etc. Topics like Automotive, AI. Content with same standards which I can follow and may be get a weekly newsletter to that industry which explains what’s happened, who said what, deep dive etc.

3) I am spending a lot in reading time and also would like to contribute in someways if possible. I have an evening shift job but can spend time during day to study/build some narratives.

Having met some of you via book club initiative, I can't thank you enough for this overall programme. As a non finance guy, I feel incredibly learned ( and ofc stupid) having read most of the stuff you put out. I try and share it with many of my friends asking them to use this opportunity to understand Indian business ecosystem more. My ask - Something that does get covered from time to time in some form or other but can we put something specific about nature of industries in India. This may not be your weekly thing but i do remember hearing there maybe something that covers industry wise stuff and give us better view of how things work for each industry in India and latest updates.

Hi, thanks for the kind words. We are trying to do justice to the "industry analysis" through some of our newer shows like "The Long Answer" and a new series we are starting very soon.

Stay tuned for more.

Also, kudos on the new channel. Keep learning and sharing!

I always wanted to read financial news and stay updated but source, collation and correlation of information - but honestly all of these were huge tasks. But today, my go to solution is daily brief YT videos where I get the satisfaction of learning something new everyday, be it 2 or 3 topics but I'm learning meaningfully. Thanks alot for your initiative.

Few suggestions would be spending some more time on critical charts to understand nuances, Industry analysis (commonly stated by many).

Ps: Bhuvan sir seems to be ignoring or neglecting Kashish's skills. But I honestly feel everybody in the team are putting their best efforts possible to come out with their content, which itself is wonderful.

I am a big fan of daily brief podcast and aftermarket report. Only thing is.. sometimes too much knowledge does tire me off. I am sure I cant be hooked all the times, so who said what and all does take a back seat as my brain tends to wander when I do see too much content sometimes. Still, great effort and I am really impressed with the work you guys are doing. Congrats to the entire team!

Great job, folks.. Daily Brief on YT has become my partner during my morning walks. It gives that extra motivation when I do not feel like going for a walk (habit stacking).

TDB and Who said What also helped my daughter prepare well for her IIM interviews...

Keep up the good work.
